How to Customize a Munny With Acrylic & Sharpies

A Munny is a vinyl character with movable joints that is about seven inches tall and weighs about one lb. A Munny comes in a box with four accessories and a coloring book. The character can come in colors of pink, blue, black, white or bright green. Customizing your Munny with acrylic paints and Sharpies is a project a person of any age will enjoy.

Things You'll Need

  • Munny template
  • Pencil
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Blue painter's tape
  • Paint brush (synthetic sable or any other brush for acrylic paints)
  • Acrylic paints
  • Sharpies

Instructions

      Wash your Munny with dishwashing liquid and water to remove any oils and grease from the factory or your hands. Make sure the Munny is completely dry before you begin.

      Download the template from the website (see the "resources" section below) and sketch the way you want your Munny to look. When you have the look you want, copy the sketch on your Munny.

      Place blue painter's tape on your Munny to define the edge of the area you are about to paint. Paint the area you want by dipping the paint brush in the paint and evenly stroking the paint on the Munny. Let the paint dry for a minute or two, then carefully pull the painter's tape off. Repeat this step until all parts of the Munny are painted, making sure that each painted area has fully dried before moving to the next area.

      Use your Sharpies to color small areas or details and to define borders between areas.
