Things You'll Need
Instructions
Scrub the pony's body and wings with a toothbrush dipped in a solution of detergent soap and hot water.
Remove a plastic pony's head. Wash the inside of the body with soap and water to remove any mold. Use a toothbrush to remove any small pieces of mold growing in areas that are difficult to access.
Dislodge stubborn grime with acetone-free nail polish remover. Apply it to a cotton swab if washing small areas or a cotton ball for larger areas. Do not use nail polish remover to clean a pony's identifying symbol or the eyes of "Beddy-Bye Eye Babies" and jeweled-eye variety ponies.
Wipe the body of plastic ponies dry with a paper towel or washcloth. Air-dry the body of "So-Soft" ponies.
Apply a dime-sized amount of shampoo to the pony's mane and tail. After rinsing off the shampoo, apply conditioner and leave it in for several minutes. Comb through the hair gently while the conditioner is still in. Rinse off the conditioner.
Air-dry the mane and tail as opposed to using heat sources such as blow dryers.
