Instructions

    • 1

Decide on a color. Jedi sabers usually are blue, green or purple, while Sith weapons are red. Spray paint the broomstick in the color of choice.

    • 2

Cut the stick to a saber length of about 39 inches (1 meter) after the paint has dried. For smaller children, cut the broomstick down for easier use.

    • 3

Spray paint the PVC pipe silver, and allow to dry. This will be the hilt. Once it's ready, apply an 8-inch strip of adhesive gel to one end of the stick, then quickly insert that end into the PVC pipe. This may require some twisting of the pipe to get it to fit over the broomstick. Allow to dry.

    • 4

Spray the entire light saber with a clear coat and allow to dry. Repeat three to four times, waiting 30 minutes between applications. The clear coat gives come degree of protection against dings.
