Things You'll Need
Instructions
Fill a kettle with water and place it on a burner set on high. Wait for the kettle to whistle, signaling that the water inside has reached boiling. Turn off the burner then pour the water into a Pyrex bowl. Ask your parent for assistance if necessary.
Place your bent Beyblade ripcords into the water, keeping the handle out of the water if possible. The water will be boiling hot so exercise caution. Use a pair of tongs or pliers to avoid burning yourself. If you have numerous bent ripcords, you can do them all at the same time.
Put on a pair of rubber gloves. Leave the ripcords in the boiling water for about a minute then grab the ripcords by the handles and take them out of the boiling water. Pull the ripcords straight out with both hands. The heat from the water makes the plastic more malleable, and the ripcords should straighten out as you pull them. Keep pulling the ripcords straight for about 30 seconds.
Empty the boiling water out of the bowl then pour in cold tap water. Place the ripcords in the cold water. Leave the ripcords in the water for about 30 seconds. They should be straightened out by now. Leave them in the water for an additional five minutes to ensure they have sufficiently cooled before picking them up. Check that they are straight.
Repeat the process if the ripcords aren̵7;t straight. It may help to bend each individual ripcord in the opposite direction if they don̵7;t straighten out. Although it seems counter-intuitive, this can help produce a straight ripcord as the end result.
