How to Construct the Dragon Castle From Imaginext

Imaginext is a line of toys by Fisher Price, a division of the toy manufacturer Mattel, Inc. The Imaginext series is a large line that includes toys ranging from dinosaurs and cavemen to sea monsters and pirates. There are several medieval castle play sets. One such play set is the Dragon World Fortress, a medieval castle complete with knights in armor and dragons. Because the Imaginext Dragon World Fortress play set is sold unassembled, you will need to follow a short set of instructions included in the box to build the castle. If the toy was purchased used, or had been previously purchased and returned, the instructions may be missing.

Mattel recommends replacing the included batteries with new batteries during assembly.

Use the screwdriver to open the battery compartment located on the bottom of the play set. Insert three AA batteries into the compartment and put the cover back on with the screwdriver. (The play set does come with the batteries already in place, but the manufacturer recommends replacing them with fresh batteries.)

Assemble the play set by following the directions provided with the Dragon World Fortress. If for any reason you do not have a copy of the set up instructions, one is available for download at the Mattel website provided in the Resources section below.

First, attach the stairs on the back of the castle by placing them at an angle and putting the circular indent on the stairs onto the circular button located right of center in the ceiling of the first floor. Then, push the hexagonal indent on the stairs onto the peg on floor of the castle just below. The stairs should snap into place.

Next, attach the triangular support by placing it at an angle and inserting the bottom of the support into the notch at the bottom of the castle base. Then, push the top of the support into place in the ceiling of the first floor, just above the notch in the base. The support, too, should snap into place.

Once you have built the Dragon World Fortress, slide the "On/Off" switch on the bottom to the "On" position. This will enable the castle to make a variety of noises and light up when different parts of the play set are activated.
