How to Stabilize an Imaginarium Train Table

Imaginarium train tables are designed to be used indoors, on flat surfaces. If your floor isn't quite flat, however, or you just want your child to be able to play with her table outdoors such as on a patio, you'll have to add table feet to the legs so that you can adjust the height of the individual legs and stabilize the table. This is essentially the same process as leveling a billiard table, except on a much smaller scale. Adjustable table feet are available for purchase at any home improvement retailer.

Things You'll Need

  • Electric drill
  • Drill bits
  • 4-adjustable table feet
  • Hammer
  • Framing level

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the train tracks and loose buildings from the table and set them aside.

    • 2

Turn the table upside-down so that its feet are sticking straight up in the air.

    • 3

Select a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the adjustable foot's sleeve, and then lock it into the drill's chuck. The foot will screw into this threaded sleeve, allowing you to adjust the height of the individual legs of the table.

    • 4

Position the drill bit over the middle of the bottom of each of the table's legs. Working slowly to keep the drill level, drill out the necessary holes into which the sleeves will be placed.

    • 5

Drive the sleeves into the holes you drilled with a hammer. On the bottom of the head of the sleeves is a nail-like protrusion that will hold the sleeve in place.

    • 6

Thread the feet into the sleeves until they are seated all the way down. Locate where you want to place the table, and then set the table right-side up at this location.

    • 7

Place a framing level lengthwise on the imaginarium table's side edge and adjust the feet by turning them until it is level. When this is complete, do the same on the side edge of the width of the table.
