How to Build a LEGO Ghost

LEGO buildings come to life with the addition of characters. Challenge your children's imaginations by encouraging them to create their own characters with LEGO bricks. Start with a simple structure and watch their creativity grow. LEGO bricks attract children of all ages, so exercise caution around small children and avoid exposing them to choking hazards. The factory-recommended age appropriate for LEGOs is 6 and older.

Things You'll Need

  • White LEGO bricks:
  • 8 1-by-2
  • 3 2-by-2

Instructions

    • 1

Place one 2-by-2 white brick next to another 2-by-3 white brick to form a starting row that is 2-by-5.

    • 2

Add 1-by-2, 2-by-3, and 1-by-2 white bricks in that order, creating a second 2-by-5 row stacked on the first.

    • 3

Add 2-by-3 and 2-by-2 white bricks to create a third row stacked on the second row.

    • 4

Flip the ghost upside down and insert a 1-by-2 brick on one edge. Skip the next space, and add another 1-by-2. Skip another space and finish the row with another 1-by-2, creating feet.

    • 5

Flip the ghost right side up. Begin the next layer with a 1-by-2 white brick, followed by a 1-by- 2 black brick. Add another 1-by-2 white brick followed by the remaining 1-by-2 black brick. Finish the level with a 1-by-2 white brick.

    • 6

Build the next level with a 2-by-2 white brick and a 2-by-3 white brick.

    • 7

Finish the ghost by centering a single 2-by-3 white brick on the top.
