How to Use Model Magic Presto Dots

Model Magic Presto Dots is a craft kit for children created and distributed by Crayola. Each kit contains armature and clay to build a model which can then be decorated using more clay and special presto dot tools that are all included in the kit. There are several Model Magic Presto Dots kits available, each with a different theme and clay colors. You can follow the directions exactly or do some customizing of your own to make your Model Magic Presto Dots creations unique.

Instructions

- 1
  Roll out some of the clay for the base. A Crayola marker can also be used as a rolling pin. Make sure you roll out enough to cover your base. If your Presto Dots kit didn't come with a base, you can make one with household items. For example, if you want a round base, crumple up tin foil into a ball and use that as your base.

  Cover the base with the clay. If you haven't rolled it out enough to cover the entire base, either roll it out thinner or roll out more of the same color of clay and finish covering the base.

  Roll out another color of the model magic clay. This will be the color that you turn into dots to cover the base.

  Cut dots out of the rolled-out clay using the tools from your kit. Place these on the base in whatever pattern or intervals you wish.

  Repeat Step 4 for any additional colors you wish to use. You can use as many colors of dots as you like to complete your project. If your kit came with instructions for a specific animal or creature, then use that as a guide. But you can also create your own and put the dots in any pattern you wish.
