Things You'll Need
Instructions
Measure a distance from a wall in your child's room or playroom where you want to set up the slide. Use a stiff, retractable tape measure to visualize the length and height of slide you want to build. Write down the measurement or commit it to memory.
Lay pieces of cardboard flat on the floor next to each other in a line equal to the measurement you took. Tape the pieces of cardboard together with duct or electrical tape along the front and back sides of each place where the pieces meet.
Fold the entire cardboard unit in half lengthwise so that it is half its original width. Step on the cardboard seam to create a stiff bend. Unfold the cardboard and tape one end of it to a small table in the room where you want to use it so that the crease is on the bottom and the slide appears like an upward-facing U shape.
Help your child come up with things to send down the slide like toy cars, trucks and stuffed animals. Give him a stop watch to time how long it takes different objects to complete the length of the slide.
