How to Get Inside a Ball Bearing Yo-Yo

While the exact origin of the yo-yo is unknown, history tells us that yo-yos have been a popular toy throughout many cultures and time periods, including ancient Greece, the Mayan civilization and Napolean Bonaparte's France. Since the popularity of the yo-yo spins similarly up and down, various types of modern yo-yo designs have emerged to suit the variety of tricks possible. Some popular designs for trick yo-yos include fixed axle, transaxle and the ball bearing axle. Ball bearing yo-yos are designed to be taken apart for light cleaning and maintenance to enhance performance and tricks.
