How to Make a Beyblade Arena Out of Cardboard

Official Beyblade arenas cost $20 to $30, but you save on the cost and still have an arena by making one out of cardboard. Some arenas work well with plastic. A cardboard arena will be custom built and also makes a nice addition to a Beyblade collection. Arenas have a flat surface or bowl-shaped bottom with sides about four inches high to keep the spinning tops inside during battles.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a four-inch diagonal line into each of the four corners of the carboard.

    • 2

Fold each side of the carboard creasing at the end of the cut made in Step 1, and release. This will create the look of a pre-fabricated box.

    • 3

Pick one corner to begin and criss cross the pieces so that one is laying on top of the other creating a corner. This will be repeated for all four corners.

    • 4

Tape the outside of the corner so that it stays together without being held. Repeat this step for all corners.

    • 5

Tape the inside of each corner vertically without taping into the corners - imagine making a slide - using three strips of tape. Taping the corners vertically gives your arena the bowl-like curves that allow Beyblades to spin up and onto the sides. Repeat this step for each corner.

    • 6

Continue taping the inside of the arena to eliminate any uneven areas that aren't taped. Completely cover the inside in duct tape so that the surface is as even as possible.
