How to Modify a Beyblade

Beyblade spinning tops have interchangeable parts, so if you want to modify one, there are seemingly endless possible combinations. Each Beyblade is made up of five pieces -- the face bolt, energy ring, fusion wheel, spin track and performance wheel -- and needs a launcher and rip cord to spin. Attached to the launcher is a wrench-type tool that allows you to connect and remove parts. Switching the fusion wheel, the metal and heaviest part of the Beyblade, have the most effect on how fast and long your top spins.

  Use the wrench tool to remove the face bolt from the top of the Beyblade. After removing this part, the rest of the top can be taken apart with your hands.

  Remove any parts you want to modify. For example, Storm Pegasus is the name of a Beyblade, and its five pieces are specific to it in color and style. You can switch any of those five parts with pieces from a second Beyblade set.

  Rebuild the Beyblade using one or more parts from the alternate set.

  Tighten the face bolt with the tool. When the Beyblade is in one piece again, it's ready for battle.
