How to Connect Silly Bandz

Silicone based rubber bands known as Silly Bandz make pretty, trendy and colorful jewelry. Silly Bandz are usually worn as bracelets or anklets. If you prefer wearing a necklace with Silly Bandz or want to make a Silly Bandz rope, you can either knot Silly Bandz together or fuse them together with glue or heat.

Things You'll Need

Silly Bandz
Glue
Wax paper
Clothes iron

Instructions

  Fold one Silly Band in half. Place another Silly Band in the middle of the folded band. Pull one half of the folded band to make a knot to connect the Silly Bandz together. You can remove the knot at any time easily.

  Glue the ends of two Silly bands together to connect them permanently. Place flat on a plate and freeze overnight.

  Cut two pieces of wax paper to measure 6 inches by 12 inches. Place one piece of wax paper on an ironing board and place two Silly Bands side by side.

  Place one edge of one Silly Band on one edge of the other Silly Band. Put the other sheet of wax paper on top of the bands carefully.

  Heat the iron and press the tip on the place where the two Silly Band edges meet. Apply heat for half a minute.

  Leave the Silly Bandz and wax paper to cool for about 15 minutes. The silicone will melt and fuse the bands together.

  Peel the wax paper off after cooling the bands completely.
