How to Make My Meebas Grow

Introduced in 2008, MyMeebas is an electronic pet toy similar to the trendy handheld virtual pets sold in the late '90s. Unlike the '90s virtual pets, however, My Meebas include a real plush toy hidden in a compartment, which opens after the electronic pet grows to full size. The compartment is difficult to force open without actually breaking the toy -- increasing the pet's size through gameplay is the only practical way to release the collectable plush inside.

Instructions

  Turn on the MyMeebas toy.

  Slide the screen up and down along the track with your hand to move the animated Meeba up and down. Use the left/right buttons and the select button in the center to move the Meeba right or left and select games to play. Each My Meeba toy comes with four minigames.

  Control the minigames with the right/left and select buttons. Games vary for different Meebas, but each is an intuitive '80s or '90s style black and white game. Games range from sports and card games to simple puzzle games such as breakout.

  Win games to accumulate points. If you win enough points, you will win a heart. After winning the heart, the Meeba will grow, change form and advance to the next level.

  Reach the seventh level to open the compartment with the plush toy.
