How to Turn off a Spy Gear Motion Alarm

The Spy Gear motion alarm is a toy trap that detects motion via a light-sensitve beam. An alarm sounds for two or three seconds when the invisible beam is broken by movement. The Spy Gear alarm is designed to alert children when someone enters their room or passes a particular point. You might want to turn off the Spy Gear alarm if your child no longer uses the alarm or if it is becoming a nuisance.

  Pick up the alarm and examine the sides for the small "On/Off" switch. The alarm will sound for a few seconds if it is active.

  Move the switch to the "Off" position; the alarm stops immediately. Moving the switch back to the "On" position re-activates the alarm. A small LED on top of the toy flashes when the alarm is active.

  Use a small Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the battery cover on the bottom of the alarm. Take out the two AA batteries and replace the battery cover if you don't want the alarm used any longer.
