It seems like every time you turn around, there is some new toy on the market that kids really want. Gifts for boys are constantly changing, but there are some gifts for boys that are always on the most wanted list. Most of the gifts listed here have been on every little boy's most wanted list at some point in their lives.

Building Toys
- One of the most popular gifts for boys are gift sets that have anything they can build. Legos and Mega Blocks are wildly popular for all ages. Legos are much smaller blocks and are appropriate for older children, while the Mega Blocks are great for toddlers and preschoolers. They come in a wide assortment of sets to purchase. Some of the Lego sets come with all the pieces and instructions to build certain things, such as planes, space ships and boats.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
- Another item that is consistently on wanted lists for boys of all ages is toy forms of transportation -- planes, trains and automobiles. Hot Wheels, Thomas the Train and Matchbox cars are extremely popular with young boys. Train tables can be purchased so children can build railroads and junctions for their trains. A wide variety of ramps can be purchased for Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars as well.
Action Figures
- One series of items that will always be on most wanted lists is action figures tied to the latest trend or movie. Toy Story figurines of Buzz Lightyear and Woody are very popular, along with all the others in the cast. Star Wars figures have been popular since the 1970s and are making a very strong comeback right now. These toys are sure to be on many boys' most wanted list for birthdays and holidays.
Electronics
- For older boys, electronics are always a desired gift. There is such a wide variety of gaming systems, including Xbox, PS3 and Wii. There are even hand-held games such as Gameboy and PSP. All of these come with a plethora of games to choose from to suit each child's interests.
