Directions on How to Make a LEGO Batman

The superhero Batman, by day millionaire tycoon Bruce Wayne, remains one of the most popular comic book characters ever created and only saw that popularity increase with the rebirth of the Batman movie franchise. While Lego has attained licenses for a Batman line of Lego products, creative owners often enjoy crafting their own custom characters using spare Lego parts to alter the default characters. Using a pair of pirate swords to craft Batman's signature bat-eared mask you can create your own classic gray-and-black Batman character.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the hands from the gray body piece and replace with a pair of black hands.

    • 2

Insert the legs into the body piece, then draw the bat logo in the center of the front of the chest piece using a fine-tip black permanent marker.

    • 3

Color the top half of a head piece with a felt-tip black permanent marker, then color in all but the back one-fourth of the bottom half of the head.

    • 4

Draw a horizontal line in the uncolored section of the head piece, slightly shorter than the width of the uncolored section and centered across the height of the section. This is Batman's mouth.

    • 5

Dip the tip of the toothpick into the white paint, then draw a pair of eyes on the head in the black section just above the uncolored section. Leave the head aside to dry.

    • 6

Cut off the tips of a pair of Lego pirate swords, then color each tip with the felt-tip marker so the entire tip is black.

    • 7

Glue a tip on either side of the opening in the helmet, with the points facing up, to serve as the pointed ears on the mask.

    • 8

Cut five small triangles out of the bottom of the cape, creating a jagged edge.

    • 9

Place the cape on the neck of the body by threading both holes in the cape over the neck.

    • 10

Place the head piece over the neck to secure the cape, then the helmet over the neck to put on Batman's mask.
