How to Troubleshoot a Pixter Touch Screen

There are a couple of options for you if you experience performance issues with your Pixter Color touch-screen device. Some issues you may experience include screen freezes and loss of color. One possible solution is to change the Pixter's batteries. The other option is to recalibrate the Pixter's screen.

Things You'll Need

  • Four AA batteries
  • Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

  1. Change Batteries

    • 1

      Remove the screw from the battery case on the back of the device with a Phillips screwdriver.

      Remove the battery case and the four AA alkaline batteries.

      Insert four new batteries and place the battery case back on. Screw the battery case back into place.

    Recalibrate Screen

      Turn the device on and locate the calibration hole on the back. It is located on the upper-left side of the device.

      Push the stylus into the calibration hole and hold it there. Turn the Pixter over (while still holding the stylus in the calibration hole) and wait until you see two "+" symbols appear on the screen.

      Remove the stylus from the calibration hold and touch it to the "+" symbol on the upper-left side of the screen. Then touch the "+" on the lower-right side of the screen.
