How to Use a Smart Cycle

The Fisher-Price Smart Cycle is an educational video and physical activity game device for children ages 3 to 6. The Smart Cycle is a great way to help young children learn their alphabet and numbers, as well as provide them with physical exercise at the same time. Once the Smart Cycle bike is assembled, it is easy to use.

Instructions

  1. Setting Up Smart Cycle With TV

    • 1

      Place the Smart Cycle in front of the TV set, making sure it is close enough for the wire to reach the TV's audio/video jacks.

      Plug all three yellow, white and red audio/video pins into the appropriate jacks on the front of the TV. These jacks are located in the back of some TV models.

      Insert the game cartridge into the game socket on the side of the Smart Cycle. Make sure it is fully inserted.

      Turn the TV on.

      Slide the power switch on the Smart Cycle to "I" to turn the device on.

      Set your TV to "Input" or "Video In" mode. The game screen should now be visible. Follow the instructions on the screen to play the game.

    Smart Cycle Controls

      Turn the handlebar left and right to steer in games.

    • 8

      Press the "Horn" button on the left side of the handlebar to honk the horn or make a selection on the screen.

      Press the "Snap Shot" button to snap a picture of whatever is on the screen.

      Use the joystick in the center of the Smart Cycle to make selections in game menus or during activities.

      Press the "Map" button to the bottom left of the joystick to view a map of the game you are currently playing.

      Press the "Exit" button directly below the joystick to exit the activity or game.

      Press the "Travel Journal" button to the bottom right of the joystick to view all pictures you have taken throughout the game.
