How to Change the Batteries in a Musical Sit & Spin

The Hasbro Sit 'n Spin is a pint-sized, single-rider carousel. A child sits on the base and turns the top to spin the device around. Several versions of the Sit 'n Spin are available such as the Music 'n Lights Sit 'n Spin. Musical versions of the Sit 'n Spin require three, AA batteries to operate. Over time, these batteries will need to be replaced.

Phillips screwdriver
3 AA batteries

Instructions

  Place the Sit 'n Spin upright on a flat surface. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws arranged in a square in the center of the cover on the top wheel.

  Lift off the cover of the top wheel and flip it upside down to access the battery compartment attached to the underside of the cover.

  Loosen the screw holding the battery cover in place until you can remove the compartment cover.

  Remove the old batteries from the compartment.

  Insert the new batteries into the compartment. Line up the positive (+) and negative (-) signs with the battery outlines on the bottom of the compartment.

  Replace the battery compartment cover, and screw it into place.

  Align the four screw holes in the cover of the top wheel with the receiving holes in the bottom half of the top wheel.

  Insert the four screws into the holes in the cover of the top wheel. Tighten the screws by turning the screwdriver to the right until each screw sinks flush with the cover.
