  Remove the plastic tag from the side of the case, and your new Tamagotchi pet will appear after a long beep. This only works if your Tamagotchi is brand new.

  Press the reset button on the back of the device to wake up your Tamagotchi after taking care of another virtual Tamagotchi whose lifespan has ended.

  After your Tamagotchi hatches, set the time and date and give it a name. Male Tamagotchis are black and females are white.

Make Tamagotchi Connection

  Press the "A" button underneath the screen until the infrared icon is highlighted and then press the "B" button. The infrared icon looks like a heart with radio waves coming from the top of it.

  Place your Tamagotchi's infra redconnection area to face another Tamagotchi's infrared connection area when the "Stand by" screen comes up.

  Press the "B" button again once the Tamagotchis are facing each other. You can choose for the Tamagotchis to exchange gifts, play games or just hang out and develop relationships. They could even have Tamababies.
