Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut your wooden dowel with the saw so that it is roughly 12 inches long. You can make it shorter if you would prefer more of a pistol, or longer for a rifle. Twelve inches will fit the majority of rubber bands, while smaller guns need smaller rubber bands and larger guns need large rubber bands. Cut a small notch on one end of the dowel.
Glue the clothespin to the dowel opposite of the end with the notch and flush with the end of the dowel. The pinching end should face the center of the dowel. This will act as the gun's "trigger."
Allow the glue to dry completely before using the gun.
Put one end of the rubber band in the notch and stretch it until you can grip the other end in the clothespin.
Point the gun at your target and squeeze the clothespin to shoot the rubber band.
