Popsicle Stick Boat Instructions

A popsicle stick boat combines two childhood favorites: popsicles and water toys. A popsicle sailboat is easy enough for a child to put together and is perfect for the bathtub or pond. A group craft session could conclude with a boat race in a plastic swimming pool, along with some frozen popsicle treats.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a square of the plastic Mylar to the length of a popsicle stick.

    • 2

Mix the epoxy glue and use an extra popsicle stick to apply glue to one long flat side of each stick. Attach the sticks to the Mylar to create a flat base.

    • 3

Glue one stick (by its long narrow edge) to the bottom of the base, in order to create a rudder.

    • 4

Glue one stick to the base top, standing straight up from the bottom edge, for the sailboat's mast.

    • 5

Cut a triangle-shaped piece of paper to fit the mast. Glue one edge of the sail to the mast.
