Instructions for Changing an Easy Bake Oven Light Bulb

The Easy Bake Oven is a toy made by Hasbro that lets children use tiny baking pans and a light bulb to bake treats such as cookies and cakes. If your child has an Easy Bake Oven, you will occasionally have to change the light bulb. You must use a light bulb that meets specific requirements: It has to be 100 watts and cannot be long life, soft white or high efficiency. A standard clear, 100-watt bulb is the only kind that will properly cook food in an Easy Bake Oven.

  Make sure the Easy Bake Oven is unplugged. Otherwise, you may put yourself at risk of electric shock. It should also be fully cool; do not attempt to change the light bulb immediately after using the oven.

  Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws from the light bulb door. This is a panel located directly beneath the vent on the back of the oven; there are four screws, one on each corner of the panel.

  Remove the door and unscrew the old light bulb. Screw in the new bulb.

  Put the light bulb door back in its position on the back of the Easy Bake Oven and replace the screws.
