How to Clean a Sticky Koosh Ball

Children are precious, miraculous, adorable--and sticky. Contagiously sticky. Pretty much everything they touch will eventually wind up being sticky, too--especially their toys. Back in the day it was easy to clean toys because you knew what they were made of. Nowadays, with so many space-age materials finding their way into toy stores, it can be a little intimidating. Don't panic. Koosh balls may look like scary aliens, but washing a Koosh ball is easier than bathing most kids.

Instructions

    • 1

Stop up the sink and fill it with warm water and a healthy squirt of dish soap.

    • 2

Let the Koosh ball soak for 5 to 10 minutes.

    • 3

Squirt some dish soap into your palm and fish the Koosh ball out of the sink with your other hand. Rub the wet Koosh ball around between your palms until the soap has pretty much covered it. It will feel very weird, but that's okay. You have kids--you've felt weirder stuff.

Rinse the Koosh ball thoroughly with warm water and dry it with a clean dish towel.
