How to Use a Digivice

Digivices are the tools used by characters in the hit anime series "Digimon" to augment the powers of the digimon fantasy creatures. Bandai Toys has released a toy version of the digivice that functions similar to their Tamagotchi toy line, allowing players to raise a digimon of their own. Bandai's toy digivices include pedometers that allow players to battle their virtual digimon creatures against other players or to play one of two of the installed mini-games.

  Charge the powers of your monster by switching the device on and either shaking it or attaching it to a belt clip and going for a walk or jog. Digimon gains energy as the pedometer readings increase.

  Press the center button to select from combat or game mode.

  Hit the right button to confirm your choice. In combat mode, you can press the sensor of your digivice to another to enable monster combat or fight random battles against virtual opponents.

  Choose game mode to play the slot and card mini-games. In slot mode, you must press the right-hand button at the right time to match three digimon in a row for points. The card mode uses the right button to stop flipping cards when a match is obtained.

  Press the left button to back out of the menu options and return to the top level pedometer view. This will track your steps taken and the energy level of your digimon for combat.
