How to Use a PicooZ

The PicooZ is a remote-controlled miniature helicopter manufactured by Silverlit Toys. It is also sometimes sold under the Air Hogs Havoc Heli name. Named Toy of the Year by the Toy Retailers Association in 2007, the PicooZ helicopter once held the world record for being the smallest remote-controlled helicopter in the world. It has since lost the record to another mini-helicopter from the same company. Learn how to use a PicooZ and fly it accurately to maximize your enjoyment.

Instructions

    • 1

Install the batteries in the remote control. Remove the screw on the back of the remote control with the Phillips screwdriver. Insert six AA batteries as indicated. Replace the compartment cover and the screw.

    • 2

Charge the PicooZ helicopter's internal battery before flying for the first time. Pull the charger cable out of the remote control. Insert into the PicooZ's charging socket, found on the right side of the helicopter next to the helicopter's "windows." The green light on the remote control will go on. When charging is complete, the light will go off.

    • 3

Start flying the PicooZ helicopter. Place the helicopter on a smooth, flat surface such as a table or the floor. Push forward on the throttle, which is the left switch on the remote control. The helicopter's rotor will begin spinning and the PicooZ will lift off.

    • 4

Push the rudder stick, which is the right switch on the remote control, to the left to turn the PicooZ to the left in a counterclockwise manner. Pushing the rudder stick to the right will make the PicooZ move forward. Continuing to push the rudder stick to the right makes the helicopter rotate clockwise.

    • 5

Land the PicooZ by slowly and gently pushing down on the throttle while the helicopter is over a smooth, flat surface. The rotor's spin slows at the rate at which you push the throttle, lowering the helicopter gradually until it comes to rest.
