How to Get the First Three Monsters in a Skannerz Commander

Skannerz Commander is a fun activity for children from 10 to 15 years old. Aliens have invaded our planet and are hiding in supermarkets, grocery stores and homes. While their parents are shopping, the child scans product bar codes with a hand held game console. When the scanner detects an enemy, the child tries to capture it. A scanner only holds 53 creatures and 25 items.

Instructions

  Choose the "Scan" option from the main menu. The scanning port at the top of the game is active for 10 seconds. Start scanning UPC codes in your home.

  Touch the scanning port to the bar code. Slowly slide the scanner from left to right. After the game processes the information, it will beep. A line with a heart beat appears on screen. An incorrect scan yields a small heartbeat. If the heart beat "Flat Lines," no creature is hiding within the bar code. The scanner has found something if the screen displays a large heart beat.

  Examine the display screen. Your child has found one of four items which are: Direct Scan Monster (he wants to join your tribe), Battle Scan Monster (she doesn't want to join), Grudge Match Monster (your child won't get this result since he hasn't captured any monsters yet) or Items (gadgets that enhance your creatures).

  Choose "Recruit" if you find a "DSM." When you get a "BSM" result, write down the product's name. Your child won't be able to fight one of these until she has three monsters. Once she has caught three, she can return and fight these "BSMs."

  Repeat Steps 1 to 4 until the child captures three monsters.
