Instructions
Find a children's consignment sale near where you live. Look at community calendars, Craig's List online, and ask around at parenting groups in your area to locate an annual or seasonal sale.
Research the requirements and consignor percentages at your particular children's consignment sale. Request information packets or read the documents online after locating a sale.
Sign up as a consignor. You will need to provide basic contact information and often a list of items you plan to consign at the sale.
Prepare toys for sale according to the consignment sale guidelines. Check toys for broken and missing parts and consign only gently used toys with plenty of life still left. Contain and wrap toys that have loose parts in plastic zip bags, boxes covered in plastic wrap leaving the toys visible, or covered plastic containers.
Consign toys by bringing your prepared items to the stated drop-off site at the scheduled time. You may need to place the toys in the correct areas at the sale.
Return to claim unsold toys unless you would rather they be donated according to consignment sale policies.
Look for your consignor's check in the mail and enjoy your earnings. Contact the sale coordinator about any issues regarding your payment.
