Moving story illustrations

• The Glow Dome can be used to create a story that involves movement. Whether your child wants to write about an exploding volcano or a deep-sea adventure, the Glow Dome can be used to illustrate the action. Simply draw one part of the story on the stationary piece of plastic and add the movement on the dome-shaped piece. If you are telling a story about a volcano, draw the actual volcano on the stationary piece and place the lava and exploding rock on the dome. Once you turn it on, the volcano will begin to explode.

Teaching tool

• The Glow Dome can be used to teach children about different concepts, including the solar system. With the rotating motion of the Glow Dome, you can draw the sun on the stationary plastic piece and the plants on the dome piece. The planets closest to the sun should be placed on the top of the dome and the ones furthest away can be placed near the bottom. Once you turn on the Glow Dome, the planets will rotate around the sun.

Night Light
