Glow Dome Instructions

The Crayola Color Explosion Glow Dome is a creative toy that allows your child to design glowing, animated images. Appropriate for ages 6 and up, the Glow Dome comes with beginner tracing sheets and glow markers. Choose a design to trace, or make up any scene out of your imagination. The plastic dome is easy to clean and will last for many hands-on, creative adventures with proper care.

Things You'll Need

Phillips screwdriver
Scissors
Glow markers
Tracing sheets

Instructions

  Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery cover. Insert three AA alkaline batteries and replace the battery cover.

  Take off the plastic dome and remove the inside panel from the base, laying it flat.

  Select the scene that you plan on animating and cut off the bottom strip with scissors. Cut the bottom strip in half to create two separate dome decorations.

  Place the flat panel over the scene that you are going to animate and trace the scene onto the panel with glow markers. Replace the panel in the dome base.

  Use your hand to press the scene onto the inside wall of the dome. Trace the scene with glow makers on the outside of the dome wall.

  Use additional scenes or add your own designs to the outside of the glow dome. Replace the dome on the base.

  Turn the power switch on and move the slider to activate the light. Turn on the rotation feature by pressing the button one, two or three times for slow, medium or fast speed. Press the button one time to reduce fast speed to medium, two times for a slow speed and three times to stop the rotation.
