Crayola Glow Station Directions

Install three AAA batteries into the Glow Station. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver and loosen the screw on the bottom of the Light Wand. Remove the battery cover and insert three AAA batteries into the compartment, making sure to match the polarity as instructed. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screws.

Unroll the Light Canvas, then gently roll it in the opposite direction to properly uncurl it. Remove the protective film on the front of the Light Canvas.

Set up the Glow Station in a room that you can readily darken -- the darker the room is, the brighter the illustrations will shine. Hang the top of the canvas on a nail or hook that is already in the wall. If there is not one available, or the hook is out of the child's reach, then install a nail, screw or hook in the wall at the child's level. You can alternatively use the canvas on a flat surface such as the floor, table or countertop.

Install the Glow Station accessories on the hanging canvas. Place the Light Wand and the separate crystal tip attachment into the corresponding holders at the top of the Glow Station; push them into place. Insert the dry-erase marker into its holder at the bottom-right of the station and hang the stencils and sheets onto the hooks at the bottom of the station.

Darken the room to your liking and use the Light Wand to create art. Slide the switch to the "On" position. Point the tip of the wand to the surface of the canvas. Hold the wand away from the canvas at different lengths to create varying light effects -- the closer the light gets to the canvas, the brighter the art will glow. Use your imagination to draw, doodle and sketch your own illustrations.

Use the stencils and texture sheets to create glowing effects. Pick out a stencil or texture sheet and place it on the canvas where desired. Hold the sheet with one hand and the Light Wand with the other. Point the tip of the wand over the stencil and texture sheets, and use the light to fill in the shapes and images.

Use the crystal tip attachment to make new designs. Place the crystal attachment onto the tip of the Light Wand. Turn the wand on, then touch the crystal tip to the Glow Station canvas to create a star.

Use the dry-erase marker to create illustrations. Place the Acetate sheet onto a flat surface suitable for drawing. Use the dry-erase marker and draw your own illustrations on the sheet. Place the sheet with your design onto the Glow Canvas. Hold the sheet with one hand and the Light Wand with the other. Point the tip of the wand at the Acetate sheet and trace your design with the light. Remove the sheet to see your design on the Glow Station.
