Instructions for a Rock Raiders Granite Grinder

Lego released the Granite Grinder building kit as part of the Rock Raiders series of kits. Rock Raiders kits are themed as underground explorers with subterranean vehicles and adventure minifigures. The Granite Grinder is a smaller kit that includes one minifigure and a vehicle with a long grinding drill bit. Like all Lego kits, the Granite Grinders uses press-and-snap bricks that can be used for the vehicle itself or in conjunction with other Lego toys.

Instructions

    • 1

Snap the visor onto the minifigure head, then push the head onto the torso and the torso onto the legs. Seth the minifigure aside.

    • 2

Set the two Granite Grinder footplates on the ground and place the two round, single light blocks onto the back ends. Press the angled foot, a four-square bock and the inverted foot blocks in the center of the footplate. Add the single light bricks to the top end and add single light buttons to the single-light bricks.

    • 3

Place the blue four-square next to the lights on the feet, then add the colored and angled foot brick next to the two tool clamp bricks.

    • 4

Add an eight-square grey brick to the top of the feet stacks, then add two black radiator bricks next to the grey. Place a thin grey brick over the feet stacks. Press three pivot plates to the grey stack topper on the feet. Attach the two feet using the rounded end pivot connector blocks, then add three four-square yellow plates and a solid blue eight-square plate to the top of the pivot connectors.

    • 5

Lay out the long grey base plate and push a four-square yellow plate under the front and an eight-square yellow plate at the rear. Place two blue inverted angle blocks to the plates. Push a three-square yellow brick next to the angle bricks and place two more blue angle bricks against the other side of the yellow. Push the eight-square gray break with a pivot onto the end of the pod-base plate. Press two inverted-angle bricks next to the grey pivot brick.

    • 6

Add the lower cockpit pod bricks to the plate and then push the decal-computer control panel brick inside the cockpit. Push the jet engine bricks over the pivot holders on the back of the cockpit. Add the light bricks and blue radiator bricks to the side of the cockpit.

    • 7

Push the light assembly into the rear center of the cockpit pod. Press the brown Granite Grinder cage over the top of the cockpit. Push the large grinder onto the front pivot connector. Snap the cockpit onto the feet. Place the tools into the hands of the minifigure and let your imagination go wild.
