Instructions
Find a hard and relatively smooth surface. If you use something other than a smooth surface to build your Lego dragon, you run the risk of losing pieces. Avoid grass, shag carpeting and other rough surfaces. A hardwood floor is ideal.
Organize the pieces by size or color to easily find each Lego piece when looking at the instructions.
Open the instruction book. On each page, there is a list of the pieces you need for the section. Each major construction phase is identified by a number in the top left corner of the page.
Follow the construction steps for each major building section. Each major building section is broken down into smaller steps. They are also identified by number and are spread throughout the page. For example, section seven is broken down into six smaller steps.
Start at section one, place each piece with reference to the pictures that are included in the instructions. These pictures show you exactly where to put each piece. Pay special attention to the number of circular bumps on each piece. This will help you distinguish between pieces that are very close in size.
Build as you ascend through the numbers, making sure not to misplace any pieces as you build. According to the instructions, you begin building at the bottom of the dragon's feet and continue upward until you complete the head.
