How to Build a Lego Tractor

Lego has a wide variety of kits to build vehicles and buildings. There is a Lego farm series that consists of a barn, animals and a Lego tractor. The Lego tractor design is constructed with several different shapes of blocks ranging from flat long rectangular pieces, square blocks and sloped shaped pieces. There are various Lego tractor models available such as the basic farm tractor and larger tractors consisting of backhoes. These look more like construction work tractors.

4 three peg flat gray blocks
2 flat square gray blocks
2 large rotors
2 small rotors
Large rounded window
3 right angle red pieces
3 red square blocks
2 narrow red sloped pieces
Red hinge brick
2 six-peg red strips
2 red grooved blocks
Red tractor hood
Red flat smooth piece
2 red bridge pieces
2 translucent red tail lights
2 axles
Black U-shaped brick
Small black U-shaped brick
2 long black strips with holes along the sides
2 small tractor tires
2 large tractor tires
Gray block with hitch
2 small ladder pieces
2 single-peg pieces
Gray shovel

Instructions

- 1
  Place two long black strips with holes down the sides parallel onto a flat gray brick. Flip the section over and add a square flat Lego to the opposite end of the black strips. Add a flat gray rectangle below that, with the ends sticking out each side. Insert an axle into the back hole of the black strips near the end with a white Lego piece underneath.

  Snap on a gray flat Lego piece with a hitch to the back of the black strips. Add a two-peg gray piece with a hole in the center to both sides where the bottom Lego sticks out. Hook on two rotating barrels to the axles.

  Attach a red right angle Lego in front of a flat square block in the middle of the black strips. The red block will have a little ladder piece on the side and two clips. Add another red right angle Lego to the opposite side with one ladder piece only. Add two three-peg Legos to the black strips towards the front, leaving two black pegs exposed.

  Snap on another red right angle Lego to the front of your black strips. Add a two-peg gray piece across the top part to look like headlights. Add a red grill piece along the bottom two pegs under the gray piece. Snap on a black U-shaped Lego to the back part of the tractor. Add a shorter U-shaped piece in front of that.

  Snap on a red square Lego in front of the black U- shaped pieces. Snap in two of the ridged two-peg pieces and another red square block at the front. Add two flat gray Legos to the tops of the blocks with a hole in each side. Add a six-peg red strip across the front and back part of the U-shape.

  Snap on a four-peg Lego strip in front of the last red strip on the back. Add two white peg Lego strips along the sides of the top of the black pegs of the U. Attach a flat two-peg dark gray piece in front of your first red strip. Add a red square Lego in front of that. Then add two single gray pegs to the front of your ridged pieces. Place a Lego block with a steering wheel in your open section of the U.

  Add a red bridge section connecting the front and back red Lego strips on each side. Add a single clear red sloped piece to the back of each bridge section. These are the tail lights. Snap a black pole into the clips on the side of your tractor. Add two long sloped Lego pieces to the front of your tractor.

  Connect a four-peg gray piece to the opposite side of the tractor. Add a black grill piece on the top two pegs and a smooth black panel on the bottom two pegs. Snap on a large clear round Lego over the steering wheel area. Snap on a two-peg red Lego with a hinge on the back of the clear window.

  Attach a red Lego roof to your tractor's window. Snap on a large black axle section to the front under your black strips. Add a shovel Lego piece to a black square piece with barrels. Slide the barrels into the open holes of the back of your tractor.

  Slide a large axle through the holes in the back underside of your tractor. Attach the large wheels to each side. Add wheels to the front axles to complete your tractor.
