How to Get the First Tahu in Bionicle

In late 2000 and early 2001, Lego launched a new product, "Bionicle", a self-assemble action figure that was born from the "Bionicle" book series as well as DC Comics. Lego produced and sold the Bionicle figures through 2010, but no longer makes it. One of the earliest figures, Tahu, is considered a collector's item and finding one new is not easy to do. When you do find one, be prepared to pay more than $100 for the Tahu in its original case.

  Research the Tahu, or the Toa of Fire, so you know which Bionicle to seek. There are six original Toas, so you don't want to confuse the other five with the Tahu. One of the six original heroes of the "Bionicle" world, Tahu is marked by a red and orange body, arms, legs and mask. He is considered one of the great leaders in the "Bionicle" stories.

  Find the details of the Tahu, Toa of Fire, because there are several Toas and other Bionicles that resemble Tahu. The original Tahu is designated as product͕4.

  Check with local and national collectible stores to see if they carry the Tahu. Most collectible stores are more inclined to have DC Comic superhero figures and trading cards, but it's worth a shot. Although Lego no longer makes Bionicles, you can contact the company and inquire if any stores still carry the item.

  Search online retailers and auction houses for the item. Type "Tahu, Toa of Fire," as well as the product number: "8534". You may find this figure on eBay or other toy and collectible sites. If you're dealing with an independent seller, be sure to verify that you are buying the right figure. Make sure the seller provides photos before purchasing.

  Check for "Bionicle" groups online. Because there are also "Bionicle" games, action figures and chat groups, you may be able to find someone willing to sell you a Tahu or who can point you in the right direction.
