Open the packet of bricks marked "1," if you have not already done so.
Construct your mini-figures. The ARC-170 comes with two human mini-figures, one humanoid alien Jedi mini-figure and one R2 unit. For the three humanoid mini-figures, snap the torso onto the leg piece, then attach the head and helmet, as applicable. Equip your Jedi with his lightsaber. For the R2 unit, snap the head onto the base, then attach a leg to each side.
Construct the body of the ship. Using the pieces provided, construct the ship's base. Add height to build up the seating areas of the ship. Attach the three separate windscreen pieces, one for each seating compartment. Use the smooth-surfaced detail pieces to construct the final side surfaces, as well as the nose of the ship. Finally, add the decal stickers. Don't forget to attach the ship's weapons.
Open the packet of bricks marked "2," if you have not already done so.
Construct the ship's two engines. Each engine should be built outward from a long black cylindrical "plus" rod. Each should be built up by sliding the series of circular attachments onto this rod. Use the specialty pieces to build the connector that will attach the engine to the body of the ship and the wings to the engine. Then, attach one engine to each side of the ship.
Open the packet of bricks marked "3," if you have not already done so.
Construct the ship's two wing arrays. Use the flat base pieces to construct the structure of the central wings. Connect the individual base pieces using the smaller, smooth-surfaced detail pieces. Don't forget to attach the black gun barrels to each wing. Attach one wing to each side of the ship. Then, construct the four smaller wings, using the triangular base pieces. Attach one of these to the top of each central wing and one to the bottom of each central wing. Add decal stickers to the top two smaller wings.
