The Lego City Passenger Train, like any electric toy, can stop working properly from time to time. Fortunately, there are a number of simple steps you can take to try to restore your train to working order. If these troubleshooting options do not work, you can contact Lego customer service for further assistance.

Instructions

Check to see whether the wires are properly connected. The motor should be wired to the receiver, which should be wired to the battery box.

Determine whether, when the battery box is on, the green light on the receiver lid (next to the channel switch) lights up. If it does not, you will need to contact Lego customer service for assistance. If it does light up, proceed to the next step.

    • 5

Make sure that your remote and receiver are both set to the same channel.

    • 6

Determine whether, when you point the remote directly at the receiver and spin the control dial, the green light on the receiver lid (next to the channel switch) flashes. If it does not, you will need to contact Lego customer service for assistance. If it does light up, proceed to the next step.

If your motor is still not running, take the battery box and the motor out of the train. Connect the motor directly to the battery box. Press the power button and determine whether the motor now runs. With this information in hand, contact Lego customer service for assistance.
