Things You'll Need
Instructions
Assemble the clone trooper minifigure. The Lego AT-RT set comes with a clone trooper minifigure. Attach the torso and arm piece to the legs, then attach the head and helmet. Give your trooper his blaster, not forgetting the green muzzle piece.
Construct the base for the passenger area. Use the gray pieces to construct the rear crossbeam, and extend an arm outward from each side. Top these pieces with the smooth pieces and grill pieces. Don't forget the circular, "dish" accent pieces on each side. Add the connector-extension on top of the rear crossbeam, using a plus-shaped connector rod.
Construct the "feet." Use the two-by-two (two-circles wide and two-circles long) gray and tan base pieces, followed by a one-by-two black base piece with a hook extension. Snap the hook extensions onto leg pieces, and snap the foot pieces onto the opposite side. Add the decorative grill pieces and dish pieces and attach the legs to the existing arms on the base.
Stand the AT-RT upright. Bend the legs and feet around so that they point downward, and place the feet on a flat surface.
Construct the seating area. Use a two-by-four gray base piece, followed by a layer of black and tan standard-thickness one-by-two bricks (with center holes). Insert a gray rod through the holes and place a black engine exhaust piece on the back end. Then top these pieces with a longer, two-by-six gray base piece. Surround this area with black L-pieces, and place gray slanted accent pieces atop the sides of these. On the top, place the red pieces with bar extensions on the back and place the steering handles on the front (atop a layer of black bricks and a tan base piece).
Add details to the seating area. Place an engine piece on either side of the rear, and a platform and an antenna on the top of the rear, behind the driver's seat. Insert a gray plus-shaped rod in the base of the steering handles, topped by the black hood piece.
Attach the seating area to the base. The seating area will slide onto the existing connector-extension.
Construct the weapons array and armor. Begin with the green base pieces, topped by the tan base pieces (rod in front), and the small gray armor piece. Separately build the windscreen section of the armor, starting with a two-by-two tan base piece, followed by the single-circle black base pieces with hook extension, and finally the larger gray armor piece. Snap the hooks onto the rod of the first armor section. To the underside of this, attach the cylindrical weapons base, and insert the longer gray gun barrel. Then attach this entire section to the front of the AT-RT.
Construct the lower gun. Using a single-circle, standard-thickness black brick, attach circular details to opposing sides, and a gray base piece with hook to the top. To this, add a black muzzle-style piece, followed by the shorter gray gun barrel. Use the hook to fasten this piece under the larger gun.
