Instructions
Snap a 2-by-6 blue plate on the middle two columns of studs on the 6-by-6 blue plate. Attach two more 2-by-6 plates to the bottom of the 6-by-6 plate. Make the second two 2-by-6 plates parallel with the first, but on the bottom of the plate and cantilevered past the edges, like legs.
Attach a 1-by-4 plate to the visible studs of the cantilevered 2-by-6 plates of your globe. Ensure that one stud is visible on both ends of each 2-by-6 plate.
Attach two 2-by-1 plates to either side of the central 2-by-6 plate. These two pairs of 2-by-1 plates should form, with the central four studs of the 2-by-6 plate, a faux 2-by-6 plate. When you look straight down at your LEGO globe, the top level should show a cross of 2-by-6 columns. If you don't have 2-by-1 plates, use 2-by-2 plates instead.
Snap a 1-by-1 plate into the corners of the cross on the top level. This creates a platform of 4-by-4 studs at the center of the top level.
Flip over the LEGO globe assembly. Attach a 2-by-3 plate to the central alley on the bottom of the assembly. Let two studs of the 2-by-3 plate hang over the side of the alley. Attach another 2-by-3 plate in the same way on the opposite side of the alley. These two plates are snapped to the original 6-by-6 plate you started with.
Turn the assembly back over so the studs are facing upward. Attach a pair of 2-by-1 plates to the center of the 4-by-4 grid to create a top 2-by-2 grid of studs. This finishes one face of your LEGO globe.
Create five more faces for your LEGO globe in the exact same way you made the first one. These six are going to be assembled together to create a complete globe.
Turn one of the faces upside down. Attach four 4-by-1 angular bricks to the bottom of this face in a square shape. The angular bricks have studs on top and studs on a horizontal side. Repeat this process for another face.
Attach faces to the horizontal studs on the sides of the angular bricks until all six faces are attached to one another. This completes your LEGO globe shape.
