How Do I Power My LEGO Technic Motor?

Lego building blocks are a popular toy people people use to build both instructed and free designs. The Technic series lets people build more complex moving models, using items such as pulleys and cogs. However, to allow these models to move independently, provide them with a power source. Lego manufactures a power set run off AA batteries. You can connect the set to your Technic design to power it.

  Purchase a "LEGO Technic 8293: Power Functions Motor Set" from a toy store or online dealer.

  Remove the cover of the battery pack in the motor set. Insert 6 AA batteries with their terminals correctly orientated according to the signs.

  Install the motor in the desired place on your Technic model, then arrange the mechanics correctly so they can be powered when the motor is moving.

  Connect the battery pack to the motor with the provided cables. Turn on the motor to start the movement.
