How to Build a LEGO Giraffe

The giraffe is one of the most interesting land creatures because of its proportions. Its neck is extremely long and its legs are also unusually long compared to most land creatures. Its coloring is also unusual and a colorful yellow with brown spots. Building a Lego version can be a challenge because of its long, gangly body parts.

Things You'll Need

  • Yellow, brown, black Lego bricks

Instructions

    • 1

Gather yellow Lego pieces and a few orange or brown pieces. Stack yellow blocks on top of each other with a few orange or brown Lego bricks on the outside of the block to look like giraffe spots. Continue until you have a perfect square about three inches by three inches. This is the body.

    • 2

To build legs start with black square Lego bricks. Connect yellow squares on each until they are tall enough to be legs. Create a similar stack with yellow and brown or orange bricks for the neck. Connect the four legs to the square body. Connect the neck to the top of the square.

    • 3

Use a yellow rectangle brick for the giraffe head. Connect to the neck. If you have two eye stickers, stick on either side of the face. Connect two small yellow pieces on top of the head for ears. Stack three small pieces on the top back end of the square for the tail.
