LEGO M1 Garand Instructions

Because there are thousands of Lego pieces, nearly anything you want can be made, including an M1 Garand, the first semi-automatic weapon issued to the U.S. army. The M1 Garand has a stock, a hand grip, a long barrel and two sights. Unlike with most Lego projects, the best way to make a miniature Garand for your Lego people is from other weapons. Expect this project to take less than 15 minutes.

Things You'll Need

1 Blaster rifle
1 Lever
Wire cutter
Plastic cement
Emery board

Instructions

  Cut the handle off of the blaster rifle with your wire cutter. Do not cut off the trigger or the stock.

  Cut the sight off of the blaster rifle. Save this sight for a later Lego miniatures project.

  Cut the ball and tab off of the Lego lever. Save the ball for another Lego project.

  Glue the rod of the lever to the end of the blaster rifle to create the long barrel of the M1 Garand with your plastic cement.

  Cut the tab that you got from the lever in half. Glue one half of the tab to the top of the extended barrel of the Garand. Glue the other half of the tab above the trigger to create the near sight of the Garand.

  Sand down any excess plastic cement with your Emery board to create the finished M1 Garand for your Lego people.
