How to Make a LEGO Star Wars Blaster Marks for a Video

A blaster is the weapon of choice for smugglers and Storm Troopers alike in the Star Wars universe. The blaster fires bolts -- small bursts of light energy -- which can inflict damage as well as stun a target. In the Star Wars films, blasters often leave a black or singed look on whatever they hit. The same effect is possible in a Star Wars LEGO movie if you use a common household item.

     Light a match and allow it to burn for 25 to 30 seconds.

     Blow the match out and allow it to cool completely.

   • 3

     Rub the tip of the match onto the LEGO set or character that needs a blaster mark on it. The soot from the match will leave a streak of black like the blaster marks from the original movies.
