LEGO 6166 Instructions

Lego's 6166 building system is a complete starter kit designed to help children learn basic construction techniques that can be applied to future Lego building projects. The unit comes encased in a large plastic container with a clear plastic lid and includes 405 building blocks and parts such as vehicle wheels and house adornments. The set also includes one Lego figure. The unit has the blocks necessary for children to build a helicopter, a car and a house.

  Guide your child through the steps in the included "Idea Book of Building Instructions and Inspirations." Show the child the basic projects that can be built with the set and help them understand that many other projects can be created as well. Encourage imagination.

  Build a basic house with walls, windows and a door on top of the included 16-stud-by-16-stud platform to outline basic stacking techniques. Attach the enclosed yellow tool holder with plastic tools and other house adornments around your building.

  Build a vehicle using the wheels, windows, steering wheel and front grille that are included in the set.

  Build a helicopter with the included propeller and window pieces. Explain to the child that an airplane can be built with the same parts.

  Combine parts to create fantasy vehicles and outlandish or faniful buildings to demonstrate the potential of the set.
