How to Build a LEGO Ambulance

The word "Lego" was invented as an abbreviation for the Danish words "leg godt," which mean "play well." Lego bricks can be put together in countless ways. Kits for specific items are also available, or you can assemble your own Lego creations. Lego lets children begin to explore building, then offers more complex designs and creations appropriate for older children and even adults.

Instructions

    • 1

Line up three white 4-by-2 bricks end to end. (The ambulance will be only two pegs wide.)

    • 2

Snap a white 2-by-1 brick on top of the bottom layer, flush with the right end. (You will work all of the rows from right to left.) Snap a 2-by-2 white brick next to the previous brick, then add a red 2-by-2 brick. Snap on a white 2-by-4 brick, and finish the row with a white 2-by-2 brick.

    • 3

Snap on a white 2-by-2 brick, starting the third layer. Snap on a red 2-by-4 brick, followed by a white 2-by-4 brick.

    • 4

Start the next layer with a white 2-by-1 brick, then a white 2-by-2 brick. Add the last red 2-by-2 brick, then a white 2-by-2 brick and a white 2-by-1 brick. Finish the row with the blue 2-by-1 brick.

    • 5

Place the last white 2-by-4 bricks on the top. Turn the structure upside down.

    • 6

Skip one space from the back end and snap in a black brick. Snap in the other black brick to line up with the front end of the third layer.
