General Grievous LEGO Set Instructions

In the "Star Wars" universe, General Grievous is a formidable foe, even in the LEGO version of the series. He carries and uses the four lightsabers of Jedi Knights he has defeated in battle. In LEGO set 7255, the "General Grievous Chase," Obi-Wan has him on the ropes, and Grievous takes off in his two-wheeled speeder.

Instructions

  1. Grievous and Speeder

    • 1

Fold the cape onto the neck post on Grievous' body, which is white and has three handles on the side. Attach his head to the neck post. Clip his feet to the bottom of the body, and his four arms to the sides. Insert the laser sticks into the lightsaber handles to make his four weapons and clip them into his hands.

    • 2

Thread a 3-hole Technic bar onto the included Technic rod, about 1 to 2 inches from the end. Insert two black Technic pins into the bar, and push the two lance rods into these pins. Attach binoculars to the ends of these rods at 45 degree angles, pointing away from each other. This is a gun turret.

    • 3

Thread a ball-joint socket onto the rod, on the inside of the upright turret. Insert two 2-stud Technic rods into the sides of the joint, and attach two more joints to these rods. Insert jackhammer pieces into the ends of the ball-joint arms, and clip them into the lower joints.

    • 4

Slide the wheel dish onto the inside of the rod, pointing the decorated side toward the turret. Put a Technic spacer on the rod, outside, to keep the dish in place. Make a second gun turret using two more binoculars, short rods, black Technic pins and another 3-hold Technic beam. Attach this, hanging down, to the center of the Technic rod. Place another spacer on the rod next to this.

    • 5

Put the second dish on the model, with the decoration pointing outward. Make a second pair of legs, as you did on the other side of the model using the jackhammer and ball-joint parts.

    • 6

Insert two 2-stud Technic rods into a perpendicular Technic connector. They should form an L-shape. Stack two 2-by-2 round plates on the shorter part of the L. Attach a 2-by-2 plate with a semi-circular side bump to these plates. Place a 1-by-1 round stud in the semi-circular bump. This makes up the seat bracket.

    • 7

Attach the seat piece to the top of the seat bracket. Clip a 1-by-2 plate with a side-handle on the end of the seat. Clip the handlebars into a spare robot arm, and clip this onto the side-handle. Attach the seat bracket to the rear-most leg joint socket.

    • 8

Remove two of Grievous' arms, and attach the stud on his back to the single-stud on the back of the seat. Put the controls in his hands.

    Obi-Wan and Lizard Mount

    • 9

Attach four 2-by-2 upward-angled bricks to a 2-by-4 plate, so they create a hull-like shape. Attach two 1-by-4 bricks with Technic holes to the flat faces of this piece, and attach a 2-by-4 brick in the middle of this. Stack two 2-by-4 bricks on the top of this piece, perpendicular to the 1-by-4 bricks. This makes the lizard's belly.

    • 10

Sandwich the neck joint piece between two green joint axle pieces. Insert a black pin into the Technic hole on the side. Repeat to make two of these pieces, and attach them to the front and back of the belly.

    • 11

Make the saddle using two 2-by-3 plates, parallel to each other on the front of the lizard's spine, and two 2-by-3 angled bricks, pointing toward each other, on the back. Put a 2-by-1 angled handle plate at the back-center of the spine, and two 1-by-1 plates with hooks on top at the front corners of the saddle. Attach two 1-by-2 L-shaped plates to the sides of the saddle, pointing inward.

    • 12

Clip the three parts which make up the tail to each other, and attach them to the rear joint. Attach the clawed feet to the bottom of the lizard legs, and clip the legs around the body of the model.

    • 13

Insert a blue Technic pin into the back of the lizard's head. Attach the reins to the pegs on the front of the head, and bring them back toward the base of the neck. Attach this to the neck joint of the lizard, and clip the reins into the hook plates. Seat the Obi-Wan character in the saddle.
