Droideka LEGO 7163 Instructions

The Droideka (or Destoryer Droid) Lego figurines are considered "rare" by Star Wars Lego collectors, and were only found, in slightly varying iterations, in five Lego sets. If you are lucky enough to have one, you need to know how to put it together, whether to play with it, display it or sell it to a collector. The Droideka found in set 7163 (the Republican Gunship), which was also found in set 7203, is a "mini" Droideka, and is fairly straightforward, if delicate, to assemble.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the two flat black pieces (two-by-one) with cylindrical attachments on one side directly adjacent to one another. The longer flat sides should be touching and the cylinders should be on the outside.

    • 2

Attach two of the flat brown two-by-one pieces, with bars on one side. Place these two pieces on top of the flat black pieces and flush with one another, with the bars to the outside, and with each piece connecting a dot from each of the black pieces below.

    • 3

Snap three light-grey arms with a "hand," or hook, at each end to the bar of one of the brown pieces. Attach an additional light-grey arm to each of the two cylindrical attachments of the original black pieces.

    • 4

Snap the opposite, free ends of the three light grey arms onto the v-shaped tan piece with one connector dot on its top and a bar with three openings at its wider end.

    • 5

Attach the flat, single-dot brown piece (with an extension connected to one of its four sides) directly onto the single connector dot on top of the tan piece just attached. The extension should be facing the back. Attach a grey antenna to each side of the extension.

    • 6

Assemble the Droideka base. Begin with the white cylindrical block with four dots on top. Place on top of it two of the flat brown two-by-one pieces, with bars on one side. Place these pieces flush with one another, with the bars to the outside. Over one dot of each brown piece, place the flat, grey rectangular piece with a single connector dot on top, and over the remaining dot of each brown piece, place an additional matching brown piece. Then, snap a light grey arm to each of the three brown bars. Atop the grey rectangular piece, place the light grey square with a single "hand," or hook.

    • 7

Connect the Droideka base to the original portion of the droid. Snap the remaining exposed brown bar of the original assembly into the single hand of the last piece attached to the base.

    • 8

Fine-tune. Bend the original assembly into a curve, so that the antennae are pointing forward, along with the two arms of the original assembly. Place the Droideka's gun into the hand of one of these arms. If you need to assemble the gun, snap the double-barreled attachment into the handle piece. Finally, bend the two arms attached to the base section downwards, like legs.
