LEGO 6432 Instructions

Lego building sets are wonderful to build the first time, and to play with once assembled, but what happens when the sets are disassembled and stored? If you haven't saved the instructions, fun may be replaced with frustration the second time around. Lego set 6432, which contains three major components and many small pieces, is no exception. But with a little patience, this set can be assembled again.

Instructions

    • 1

Assemble the characters. For the race car driver, snap the white torso piece into the white legs. Snap the blue plastic visor onto the white racing helmet, then place the helmet on the driver's head. For the truck driver, snap the blue torso piece into the blue legs, then snap on the blue hat.

    • 2

Assemble the race car base. Snap the car wheels onto the cylindrical extensions of each axle piece. Then, snap the axle pieces onto each end of the red car base. On one end of the base, between the wheels, snap the 3-by-2 gray rectangular block. On the back end of this block, snap the flat dark gray 2-by-1 piece, with the cylinders extending backward. Then place one of the flat red rectangular pieces (1-by-4) on top of this, and in front of it place the gray block with a 1-by-2 top and a 2-by-2 bottom, with the slanted face pointed backward.

    • 3

Assemble the race car details. In the lowered center section of the car base, snap the steering wheel piece in at the front. Snap the seat in directly behind the wheel. In front of the wheel, place the 1-by-2, dark gray block. On either side of the seating area, snap the long, dark gray side pieces emblazoned with the number "1" and stars. On the front end of the car, add the chunkier dark gray block emblazoned with a "1." Snap underneath this piece the remaining flat red rectangular piece.

    • 4

Assemble the truck base. Snap the truck wheels onto the cylindrical extensions of each axle piece. Then, snap the axle pieces onto each end of the black truck base. On the front end of the base, snap on two light gray, flat squares, with the hook piece pointing forward, surrounded by two small tan circles. Directly behind this, snap the green piece (with a 2-by-2 center surrounded by raised areas). Then, atop the 2-by-3 area created by the gray hook pieces and the green piece, snap the yellow standard 2-by-3 block.

    • 5

Assemble the truck's steering area. Directly behind the last block added, place one of the two red 2-by-1 blocks. On either side of this block and extending backward, place a yellow 1-by-4 block, followed by a yellow 1-by-2 block with a hook piece pointing outward. Between the front circle of the two yellow 1-by-2 blocks, place the second red 2-by-1 block. At the front of the rectangular depression created by these pieces, place the steering wheel.

    • 6

Assemble the truck cab. Snap the truck's four-bar grill onto the hooks extending from the front. Attach the clear plastic windshield directly in front of the steering-wheel depression. Atop the line created by the front circle of the two yellow 1-by-2 blocks and the second red 2-by-1 block, place (one on top of the other) two more yellow 1-by-4 blocks. Then, atop these and the windshield, place the green 3-by-4 block, with the slanted area facing forward.

    • 7

Add the truck details. Place the two red and gray antennae atop the back of the green roof, and snap the two exhaust pipes onto the two yellow hooks extending from the sides of the truck. Finally, snap the clear pink pieces onto the back of the green roof on either side of the antennae.

    • 8

Assemble the trailer base. Snap the trailer wheels on the the cylindrical axle extensions, then snap the axle onto the back (lower) end of the trailer base piece. Attach a red grill piece on the very back of the base piece, and on either side of the raised front portion. On each side of the center section snap, one behind the other, two yellow cabinet pieces, with the blue doors facing outward. You may need to reattach the blue doors. Flush with the back end of the trailer base, attach one of the large, flat, yellow base pieces with the rectangular cutout, with the hooks extending off the back of the trailer. Attach the two yellow ramps to these hooks.

    • 9

Assemble the trailer details. Flush with the top of the back cabinet pieces, place the remaining large, flat, yellow base piece with the rectangular cutout with the hooks extending off the back of the cabinet pieces. On top of each flat yellow base piece, and flush with the front of the rectangular cutouts, place (on each side) a flat, smooth, gray topper piece. In front of the front flat yellow base piece, with one row of gray circles separating the two, place the flat yellow 1-by-6 piece. Atop this piece, place the gray, curved tool holder and snap the tools into place. Finally, place the spare tires, tools and helmet into the cabinet pieces.
