Instructions

    • 1

Set your base face up or brick side up on a flat surface. Place your two 4x1 solid-colored blocks on opposing edges of the base, running parallel along the base so that they form two edges.

    • 2

Place one of your 1x2 solid-colored bricks on the edge of your base between the two bricks that you have already placed down to form the back edge of your trash can.

    • 3

Place one of your 1x3 solid-colored bricks on top of one of the 4x1 solid-colored bricks so that the block is flesh against the edge next to the 1x2. Place another 1x3 solid-colored brick parallel to the first one.

    • 4

Take one of your 1x1 solid-colored bricks and place it on the one remaining space of the 4x1 that you placed down. Take your second 1x1 solid-colored brick and place it along the same spot on the second 4x1.

    • 5

Stack two of your 2x1 solid-colored bricks on top of each other and snap them in place. Take the stack of 2x1's in the front gap of your Lego trash can to form the front edge. Take another 2x1 solid-colored brick and place it along the remaining gap in the back edge of the Lego trash can so that you have made a two-layered square.

    • 6

Take two of your 2x1 solid-colored bricks and place them along the back edge of your Lego trash can. They will overlap the first spot on your 3x1's and meet on top of the 2x1 you placed down in the second layer.

    • 7

Take your final two 2x1 bricks and place them on opposite sides so that they cover the sides of your Lego trash can, leaving the front corners open.

    • 8

Take your final two 1x1 bricks and place them on the front corners, leaving a 2x1 hole in the front of the trash can.

    • 9

Place your first two 2x2 surfaces on the back corners of the trash can so that they meet in the middle of the can. Place the remaining two pieces on the front corners, position them so that all four of these pieces meet to form the top of the can.
